What is Eid?

Eid is the word commonly recognized for the two major holidays in the Muslim faith. Ramadan Eid is the celebration of the ending of the Fasting month and the Feast of Sacrifice celebrates the Prophet Abraham and also marks the time for the yearly pilgrimage.

When is Eid?

The dates of Eid are set by the lunar calendar, with the arrival of the new moon, and will therefore vary from year to year. The Feast of Sacrifice always follows Ramadan Eid by 2 months and 10 days.
